Papers concerning William Henry Harrison's service in the War of 1812, including copies of his reports to the secretary of war (1811-1813); original correspondence of Harrison (1812-1817) and others; Harrison's 1840 manuscript defending his conduct of the 1813 Thames campaign; engravings and drawings of Harrison; and a map of the Tippecanoe battleground. Harrison was governor of Indiana Territory (1800-1812), commander of the Army of the Northwest in the War of 1812, and much later president of the United States (1841).
